QUESTION: Hey Google, what is the current average life expectancy?
GOOGLE: "The United Nations estimate a global average
life expectancy of 72.6 years for 2019. The current life expectancy for U.S. in 2020 is 78.93 years, a 0.08% increase from
2019."
BIBLE: "We live for 70 years, or 80 years if we're healthy" (Psalm 90:10 [International Standard
Version]).
If we do the simple math and add 72.6 years to 78.93 years, you get 151.53 years. Then, if we divide
151.53 by 2, we get 75.765 years.
Finally, since the Bible is dealing with integers (whole numbers instead of fractions)
at Psalm 90:10, when we translate 75.765 years into the whole number 75, we find that 75 is precisely between 70 and 80.
Also,
Moses, the inspired writer of this psalm, lived to be a healthy 120 years old (Deuteronomy 34:7).
As a healthcare professional,
a practitioner in the field of psychological science, and a Bible scholar, I find this revelation fascinating.
This
is especially so since evolutionary scientists believe that we have been evolving for a zillion years and that modern medicine
would extend the average life expectancy far beyond what the Bible foretold it would be.
Please allow me to give a
shout out to the Author of the Holy Bible, Jehovah God. Amen, baby. Amen.
